Founded to address the needs of newcomers and individuals facing psychosocial vulnerability, the Community Unity for Holistic Wellbeing (CUHW) aims to facilitate their full integration into society. We provide comprehensive support where all social, psychological, medical, and educational needs can be met in one single place.

BIOGRAPHIE
Nelly Folefack
Nelly Folefack, d’origine belge et camerounaise, possède 7 ans d’expérience dans le soutien psychosocial et la gestion de cas pour des populations vulnérables, notamment des enfants, des adolescents et des familles.
Elle est titulaire d’un Master en Ingénierie et Actions Sociales de la Haute École Condorcet en Belgique. Tout au long de sa carrière, Nelly a accumulé une expérience riche et diversifiée dans des environnements multiculturels et internationaux. Elle a collaboré avec des équipes multidisciplinaires pour assurer une coordination appropriée et offrir des ressources adaptées aux besoins spécifiques des clients. Elle s’est également engagée dans des activités communautaires, animant des ateliers de prévention pour sensibiliser les jeunes et les adultes aux risques de violence, de harcèlement et aux enjeux de santé.
Son parcours inclut également une expérience en protection de l’enfance dans des situations complexes impliquant des interventions transfrontalières, y compris au Canada. Nelly a mené des études sociales et élaboré des plans d’intervention individualisés portant sur l’autorité parentale, le rapt parental et le placement en famille d’accueil.
Son approche, fondée sur l’empathie, la collaboration et une analyse approfondie des besoins de chaque communauté, lui permet de proposer des interventions ciblées et efficaces, améliorant ainsi le bien-être des personnes qu’elle accompagne.
Biography:
Nelly Folefack, of Belgian-Cameroonian origin, has 7 years of experience in psychosocial support and case management for vulnerable populations, including children, adolescents, and families.
She holds a Master’s degree in Social Engineering and Action from Haute École Condorcet in Belgium. Throughout her career, Nelly has accumulated rich and diverse experience in multicultural and international environments. She has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to ensure proper coordination and provide resources tailored to the specific needs of clients. Additionally, she has led community activities, conducting prevention workshops to raise awareness among young people and adults about the risks of violence, harassment, and health issues.
Her career also includes child protection experience in dealing with complex cases involving cross-border interventions, including in Canada. Nelly has conducted social studies and developed individualized intervention plans focusing on parental authority, parental abduction, and foster care placement.
Her approach, based on empathy, collaboration, and a comprehensive analysis of community needs, enables her to provide targeted and effective interventions, improving the well-being of those she supports.

We warmly welcome newcomers, families, and vulnerable individuals, offering a thorough assessment of their needs. This service ensures tailored support and directs each person to the most appropriate resources, both internal and external, for their situation.

Social and Psychological Support
We offer personalized support that includes social and psychological consultations to assist individuals and families with their integration efforts and the management of emotional and social challenges. Our staff work closely with beneficiaries to identify their needs and create a tailored action plan to enhance their overall well-being.

Prevention and Well-Being Workshops
Our practical workshops cover topics such as stress management, a holistic approach to well-being, and mental health. These sessions are designed to help participants take care of themselves while building resilience. We also provide practical strategies for newcomers and vulnerable families to manage the daily challenges they face.

NumériStart – Basic Computer Training
In an increasingly digital world, access to computer skills is essential for successful integration. We offer basic computer training to help individuals acquire foundational skills that will open doors in both professional and social settings. NumériStart provides a space where participants can learn at their own pace and develop the digital competencies needed to navigate daily life.

Talent Hub
Talent Hub is a dedicated space for discovering and valuing personal and professional skills. Through creative workshops, artistic projects, and informal meetings, hidden talents can emerge. The space aims to boost self-confidence and self-esteem and develop useful skills both personally and professionally.

Parental Support Activities
Parenting can be particularly challenging, especially during difficult times. That’s why we offer a space where parents can meet and strengthen their bonds with their children. Through tailored activities and psychological support, we help parents better understand their children’s needs and develop positive strategies for family management.

Café Jaser
Café Jaser is an informal space for discussion and connection where individuals can share their experiences, ask questions, and engage in conversations in a relaxed environment. These meetings help break social isolation and foster a sense of community.

Couple and Family Mediation
The “Couple and Family Mediation Service” helps couples and families, particularly newcomers, to communicate better, strengthen their family bonds, and overcome conflicts often related to adaptation challenges and differences in values that disrupt family balance. With a compassionate and tailored approach, we support you in restoring harmony, fostering mutual understanding, and building strong and peaceful relationships.
